News: Nook Color gets its first update, improves usability

Barnes and Noble has promised to release updates to Nook Color that will make it more closer to a tablet that the eReader it is currently limited to. Looks like it is going to do that with series of updates and here comes the first one.

Typically Barnes and Noble pushes the updates OTA, but if you don't want to wait till the OTA reaches you, then you can get the free upgrade through download from here.
This version 1.1.0 of the software is supposed to improve WiFi connectivity, improve Home and Shop performance and enhance read experience for magazine and children books. This update is also said to add pinch and zoom capability to the browser and some bugs fixed.

Looks like the update train is heading in the right direction and we just need the Android version update and Nook Apps opened up for the consumers next.
