News: Kongregate back in Android Market

Android is said to have an open market place and the last time I heard about an application getting banned in Android, when there was privacy / security concern about it. Kongregate was announced for Android recently and was banned soon enough, but now seems to be back.

Initial reports on the reason for ban said that the application was re-directing users to another hosted page to download the 300+ free games for Android. The re-direction is something the Marketplace was not said to allow. The games that are played through Kongregate were actual browser based games, but were not presented to user in that fashion and has been taken care of now. The application also stored and cached data on SD card previously and this has been changed to use the standard browser cache instead.

This if continues to be supported for Android, can transform into the marketplace in Android for games. The games supported are flash based, so cannot be run or made available for iPhone.
