Notion Ink, the Indian company with a big dream made lot of news in CES 2010, when it showed the prototype Adam tablet running Android. The device had different looks, Pixel Qi display and held a lot of promise and amidst lot of negative press and crazy pre-order period, the company is once again back for CES 2011.
People who have been following Adam (Android fans and anti-iPad groups) have been keeping a close watch at the development of this tablet and also informally kept in touch and communicated openly with Rohan Shravan, CEO who posts and comments regularly in the official blog.
The company has kept a lot of information to itself and had been waiting for the CES to open the flood gates of information and today a lot of press shots and video has surfaced that shows the Adam. These snaps are some of the images that have been uploaded on the blog today
There was also the release of the first official video released in the company's site. The most striking thing today was the interview that Rohan Shravan gave to Nilay Patel from Engadget. It was nice to see the way Rohan handled some of the questions from Nilay, though he did not reveal some of the much awaited partner details and other details. It is good to know from the interview that some of the concepts and UI adaption done in Adam tablet, are inline with the Honeycomb version of Android, that is yet to be announced and detailed. As long as the upgrade is quick and seamless, it is definitely good step forward from Adam. I am definitely looking forward to more reviews from the different groups that are covering CES 2011 and kind of envious of the people who are getting the hands on with the tablet.
