News: TouchType Keyboard, takes Google Scribe further

Ever had the feeling that you are searching for words while writing something? Then you should definitely try Google Scribe. It is a fun way to attempt writing, as it integrates the predictive text to each alphabet that you type and constant suggests the sentence construct for you.

It is a fun tool to experiment with, but this post is not about Google Scribe, instead about  an application launched by TouchType for Android. The app is called SwiftKey and has been developed in collaboration with Google and Motorola for Honeycomb.

The application has radically changed the design of the keyboard and has the interface more like a split QWERTY keyboard aligned on the sides, with numbers in the middle. The layout of the keyboard makes it easier for operating on tablet with thumbs.

The interesting part of the tool is the predictive / suggestive text that appears on the top of the keyboard panel, as the user starts typing. This reminds me of the way Scribe works and may have some learning curve, but should be easy to adopt.
