Motorola Xoom was one of the most anticipated Android tablet and was also more of a benchmark device from Google for its Honeycomb version of Android. Motorola has officially announced that it will launch the WiFi version of the device for $599 from all major retailers.
iPad has the major share in the tablet space and with the second generation available with better specification and performance, it is critical for the Android tablets to be priced right and with the right version of the software to have any success. The hardware and software definitely stand out and instead of feeling like yet another phone like OS, it looks like a true tablet OS, with more power the users.
This new price point from Motorola may also force other manufacturers to reduce the price and thus shaping up a good time in the tablet market. Let us see what the next few months have to offer in the tablet space.
