News: Mobile GMail gets Priority Inbox partially

Google introduced Priority Inbox feature for its GMail service few months back. It is a system in which GMail automatically prioritizes the mail that comes to your Inbox based on the sender, frequency of communication, replies and many other parameters. It categorizes the mail as Important, Starred and Everything else.

This feature has definitely come in handy when there are number of mails that come in and some of the need attention. The user also gets to lower the priority or increase the priority, if the automatic prioritization seems to be wrongly classifying things.

This feature is very useful, but was not available to all smartphones till now. It was available on Desktop and Android devices only. Google has finally made this feature available for all smartphones, as long as you can access the mobile version of the Gmail.

This feature is available for most mobile browsers that support HTML5, which includes devices running Android 1.5+ and iOS 3+. This is just the first step for the mobile devices, as it still is not fully functional. You will not be able to change priorities from the mobile client, but you can definitely see the prioritized content. It is definitely a good first step.
