News: iPhone and it trouble with Alarms, is alarming...

iPhone has already had its fare share of criticism earlier this year during the Daylight Time switch, when the alarms that were set to recurring mode stopped working in Europe and Americas. People had to dig up their more reliable clocks (with alarm), yes the standalone devices that showed only time to wake them up. In spite of lot of publicity and bad press Apple took quite a while to fix this during their iOS update of 4.2.1. The issue was localized only to recurring alarms and one-time alarms worked fine.

Looks like they changed the code, but it was not to fix the problem. They just tweaked the code to make it appear again this New Year, but this time the issue was reversed. The problem now is only with one-time alarms and recurring alarms seem to work fine. Until Apple releases an update few months down the line, we can use the following workaround posted by the sources like Gizmodo or Engadget or many other sites...

• Tap Clock
• Tap +
• Set your alarm
• Tap Repeat
• Set Repeat interval
• Tap Save

Apple may need to start paying close attention to the basic software capabilities, that is expected to work fine even in phones that are not so smart
