Adam tablet from Notion Ink had already taken the pre-orders in December and were awaiting the FCC / CE approval before they can be officially shipped to US or Europe. Notion Ink had been posting regular videos since the pre-order period and showcased the Android tablet in CES 2011 to get some good preview and feedback from the leading technical critics.
Th latest post from the official Notion Ink blog states that the FCC and CE approvals are still pending and hence they are holding back shipments to the US / Europe. The blog does state that the tests passed, but the reason for the delay is not mentioned.
The blog also makes it sound like there are lot of questions of Adam adopting Honeycomb and the summary of the response from Rohan is that Honeycomb is still work in progress and not shared or distributed for evaluation or adoption. Eden does have some design elements that are Honeycomb like, but we need to wait for the actual announcement of Honeycomb to know the differences and also how easy to port the enhancements to Eden.
