Microsoft tried with tablet computing in early 2000 and did not have much success, because of the lagging hardware improvements. When iPad was released as a magical, revolutionizing device it definitely got huge attention as always, in reality most of the tablets announced since then have been over-sized mobile devices. HTC has been making impressive Android devices and now they have announced HTC Flyer an Android device with some unique and useful features.

Gadget: Official Honeycomb Tablet Announced
Google has been keeping the news of Android Honeycomb, well under covers for a while now. There was only a small reveal by Andy Rubin during the All things Digital event, that gave away to the rumors of a version of Android built from the scratch exclusively for tablets. This announcement made at the time, when almost every other manufacturer was already jumping on the Tablet train with the current releases of Android (Froyo / Gingerbread).

My first post... Week 52, 2010
Notion Ink Adam Tablet
It has been ages since the iPad launched and there have been lot of tablets launched since then, but none of them even came close to competing from both usability and price stand point of the iPad. Nook Color (from B&N) was priced well and still holds promise, but it still needs fully unlock its potential as a tablet. One of the upcoming tablet that has kept some hardcore Android fans engaged and waiting eagerly for its release is the NotionInk Adam tablet. The tablet with all its features and underlying power of Android OS seems to be a winning combination. The design and development is managed by the new startup company definitely holds promise and is likely to be the hit of 2011. Hit the source link below for the blog that is constantly updated about the development and progress made in the making of the tablet.

In the growing craze about 3D and 3D technology and gaming, this is an interesting disclaimer from Nintendo itself. The company is about to release Nintendo 3DS, which is expected to revive the mobile gaming platform of Nintendo. This disclaimer from them may send some doubts in the minds of parents who are considering to jump on the 3D train for their kids. Lets see what the research and scientific proof has to offer for this growing hype around anything related to 3D.
Skype video calling for iPhone is official
Skype has been making a lot of news recently with enhanced video conferencing capability supporting up to 4 simultaneous video sessions. Now it has gone one more step forward to bring video conferencing to not just iPhone 4, but also to iPhone 3GS over both 3G and WiFi. I tested this from my 3GS, by calling the Desktop over WiFi and the connection was quite impressive and useful. I definitely look forward to trying this in real-time and real-life scenarios.

China tightens hold on rare earth exports, markets soar
China has been clearly getting a stronghold in the financial and technology sectors. This move from China seems to be a clear threat to monopolize the market and more importantly shift the balance in world power when it comes to technology and its advances. Let us see if there is going to be any kind of collective action this time for this deliberate move from China. We have gradually moved to "Made in China" and looks like it is heading to "Made only in China" or "Approved by China"
